Call to Worship

Receive God’s call to worship from his word:

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the LORD, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 100

Adoration

Sing or say together this praise to God:

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit;
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be:
world without end. Amen.

Gloria Patri

Scripture Reading

Read together one of the scripture passages assigned for the day.

Reflection

Briefly reflect together on the passage with a few questions such as:

  • What stood out to you in the passage?

  • What does the passage reveal about God and ourselves?

  • How does it point to Jesus and move us to love him?

Prayer

Pray for the needs in your life, community, church, and the world.

The Lord’s Prayer

Pray together these words that Jesus taught us to pray:

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name;
your kingdom come;
your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, forever. Amen.

The Doxology

Close by singing or saying together this praise to God:

Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him all creatures here below;
Praise him above ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
